A New Assistant Manager

We are always looking for ways to up our game at The Shoe Hive.

How can we improve the customer experience? How can we expand the variety of our product? How can we make ourselves better?

Many of you likely remember Patience who worked at The Shoe Hive in 2013 and 2014. She left to pursue other goals, but Elizabeth ran into her a few months ago and convinced her to come back at least one day a week. For a while, she worked on Fridays, and we were overjoyed at her return. Her maturity, personal style and stellar customer service–how did we ever let her go? Well, we’ve learned from our mistakes and have hired her full-time as our assistant manager. This has not been an official position at The Shoe Hive in the past, but there is certainly enough work to do to warrant it. We know that having her at The Shoe Hive regularly will make us a better team and better store. Next time you’re in The Shoe Hive, congratulate Patience on her new gig! We are so excited to have her back!

If you’re not yet familiar with Patience, here’s a little bit about her:

How long have you worked at the Hive?
I have worked at The Shoe Hive for about 2 years now on and off. I started back in November of 2013 as a sales associate.

Do you have any fun stories or memories from working here?
I have many. My favorite memory that I can think of at this time is the 2013 Warehouse sale. It was a crazy and busy day but we all still managed to smile and have a good day. That’s what makes our team here so amazing.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?
My absolute favorite thing about working here is the environment. All of my peers make each day worthwhile. I enjoy laughing with customers and have meaningful conversations. It feels so much like home here.

Who’s your favorite designer that we carry?
My favorite shoe designer is without a doubt AGL and my favorite lounge wear designer is Sundry.

What’s your go-to shoe trend?
My go-to shoe trend is the oxford loafer. You can pretty much wear them with any outfit and all year around. I consider them a staple item in my wardrobe.

Are there any trends you can’t get behind?
I don’t consider this a true trend but I can not get behind Ugg boots. I am not a big fan but I understand that they have their purpose.

What’s your favorite pair you’ve acquired while working here?
I have not yet acquired them but my favorite pair of boots are the 5050 boots by Stuart Weitzman. I’m still on a budget but I have been saving up for them. So no one buy the size 8.5. They are mine!
