After having a clothing store for a bit more than two years now, I have learned a few things about women and their jeans. Most women have a very specific type of fit that they want and they really don’t want to venture far away from their favorite.
I hear unfavorable opinions about boyfriend, skinny, distressed, high-rise, mid-rise, and, well, everything in between. So it is a good thing that anything goes when it comes to denim. There is no “out.” If you like it, you should wear it, and I am confident there is a pair out there for everyone.
Here at Stylebook, we do want to tell you about what is new in fashion. So when it comes to denim, the latest trend — or maybe a better-way-to-state-it, “option” — in denim is the non-skinny. This can also be called the dad jean or the slim boyfriend or even a girlfriend cut. The rise is mid or high it is basically a looser fit around the leg but not a slouchy as the traditional boyfriend (which still might be my favorite).
So if you are looking for an update to your denim, or if you like a looser fit, this is the jean for you. We have distressed, racer striped, flared and some great basics in this perennial you will love.
